Hear Blackened-Death Crew Trench Warfare's Vicious New Song "Hatred Prayer"

Texas band channels Bolt Thrower, Blasphemy, Teitanblood on title-track from forthcoming album

Following in the footsteps of metal gods like Bolt Thrower, Blasphemy and Teitanblood, Texas-based band Trench Warfare practice a black/death style that leans heavily into the war arena — pitting unrelenting blasts against belching vocals and hate-fueled riffage. Their latest track "Hatred Prayer" — which Revolver is premiering today (June 3rd) — is the title-track of the band's third offering due on August 9th via Transcending Obscurity

"Hatred Prayer" is built around a nasty half-time riff juxtaposed against a double-fast blasting drum part, an unnerving arrangement that produces something unexpected, nasty, confrontational and ultimately a bit queasy in the most positive of ways. Highly recommended for fans of any of the previously mentioned bands, as well as Archgoat, Revenge and Wrathprayer.

"We aren't worried about maintaining a fabricated image. We are very real people, albeit a bit crazy by conventional standards," admits vocalist Jay Gorania when discussing the new track. "As such, we aren't afraid of the darker side of things. This song, and this album, is about harnessing that energy and sending that negativity toward those you despise. Set the gears in motion so that the universe will ensure that they will suffer and rot. Celebrate this. And do so with a smile."
