Hear Bring Me the Horizon's Riff-Heavy, Electronic-Tinged New Song "Mantra"

These past several weeks, Bring Me the Horizon have been gearing up to release something, dropping several posters advertising a phone number fans could call to hear a snippet of new music. Today, August 21st, the band delivered the new single "Mantra," which is now out after premiering on BBC Radio 1 with Annie Mac. The track is the first new music made public from the band's forthcoming record, 'amo,' which is scheduled for a January 11th release via Columbia Records. 

The song picks up where they left off on 2015's That's the Spirit, grinding together some extremely catchy hard rock with some heavy guitar work. Singer Oli Sykes sounds even more comfortable with his voice than previous records, pulling off some harmonies and hooks that are truly impressive. Instead of throwing a breakdown in the song's midpoint like they might have at one point, the song hits an extremely pop-centric based, featuring some trap-like production and a falsetto from Sykes.

"'amo' is a love album that explores every aspect of that most powerful emotion," says Sykes of the new album. "It deals with the good the bad and the ugly, and as a result we've created an album that's more experimental, more varied, weird, and wonderful than anything we've done before."

The band also announced a 16-city 'First Love' tour, which will kick off January 23rd in Nashville, TN. See full dates below.
