Last year, we named Candy Apple an Artist You Need to Know and then included their phenomenal debut LP, Sweet Dreams of Violence, in our list of the 10 best hardcore albums of 2021. In other words, you should be paying attention. The Denver band play a form of old-school hardcore punk that calls back to the Eighties in regards to their noisy, lo-fi production, but doesn't feel anchored to any specific regional style.
Later this month, Candy Apple will be back with their new EP, World for Sale, and today (September 7th) we're proud to be premiering the bloody and deranged video for its totally fucking rippin' lead single, "I Don't Wanna Talk About It."
Like the tracks on their LP, "I Don't Wanna Talk About It" is blown-out and abrasive, but here the production is cleaned up just enough to let the uber-catchy melodies they bury beneath the ruckus get their proper shine. Blast it above while you watch the video directed by Cain Cox.
