Death-metal fans, Cannibal Corpse frontman George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher has an early Christmas present for you: "Acid Vat," his debut solo song and the vicious lead single from his upcoming solo album, aptly titled Corpsegrinder. The vocalist's Corpse bandmate and fellow Florida death-metal OG Erik Rutan guests on the cut, delivering some characteristically razor-edged guitar work, while ol' Corpsegrinder himself grunts and roars his windmilling head off. Due out February 4th, the 10-song LP was co-produced by Hatebreed bandleader Jamey Jasta and boardsmith Nick Bellmore (Dee Snider, Kingdom of Sorrow) and will be released via Jasta's new label, Perseverance Music Group. "Working with George has been a dream come true, he's one of the best dudes in metal and one of the most brutal voices EVER," the hardcore magnate enthused. "He's outdone himself on this album!"

Corpsegrinder commented, "When Jamey approached me to do this record, I was fired up to get into the studio with Erik Rutan and record the vocals. It's a mix of death metal, thrash and hardcore, and it sounds heavy as hell!!! I'm really excited about it, and I can't wait for the world to hear it!!!"
