Hear Code Orange Guitarist's Industrialized Remixes of Two Alt-J Tracks

Pittsburgh hardcore meets British indie

Now here's a crossover we didn't see coming: Pittsburgh crushers Code Orange have shared punishing remixes of two songs originally performed by the British indie-rock outfit Alt-J, "Adeline" and "Hit Me Like That Snare." Guitarist Shade Balderose conceived and constructed the industrial reinterpretations after learning that Alt-J drummer Thom Sonny Green was a Code Orange fan. "I wanted to dismantle the songs entirely and completely rebuild them as if they had come from a different world, and that's what I did," he explains. "See the world with Code Orange vision. No boxes, no boundaries, no fear." Watch a visualizer for the fearsome new "Adeline" above, and check out "Hit Me Like That Snare" below.

Alt-J add, "It's not often we get to collaborate with heavy artists so having Code Orange step up and give us two amazing remixes is a real treat. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do."

Code Orange are subjects of an in-depth cover story featured in the new issue of Revolver, which hits newsstands on November 7th.
