Next month, Coheed and Cambria will finally return with their long-awaited new album, Vaxis II: A Window of the Waking Mind (out June 24th). The lead-up to the current Revolver cover stars' 10th studio LP has been ongoing for a while, starting with last year's "Shoulders" and "Rise, Naianasha (Cut the Cord)" singles, and this year's track "The Liars Club."
Now, the prog-rock group have offered one final single prior to the album's full release, and it's another upbeat banger ironically titled "Comatose."
Like the previous tracks we've heard from the LP, the band are sounding brighter and more jubilant than ever on these tracks, fully leaning into their melodic side while also keeping the technicality just where their audience likes it.
