Hear Converge's Jacob Bannon Rage on Petbrick's Chaotic New Hardcore Song

Iggor Cavalera's noise-rock side project delivers the ear-assaulting goods

Petbrick — a.k.a. Wayne Adams (Big Lad, Death Pedals) and Iggor Cavalera (Sepultura, Soulwax, Cavalera Conspiracy) — are a London-based duo who play a brain-bashing fusion of industrial, noise-rock, hardcore and more. Later this month they'll drop a new album called Liminal, and today we're proud to premiere the latest single featuring none other than Converge frontman Jacob Bannon.

Naturally, the hardcore bard lends his signature shriek to Petbrick's mangled sound, resulting in a tremendously intense dose of skronky, battering aural decimation. It fuckin' rips. Blast it above via YouTube while you watch its official music video.

"'Grind You Dull' is a Petbrick take on a hardcore punk track – but instead of guitars we used a distorted electronic 909 kick to create a riff — and it slams!," says Adams. "It is probably the most thrash moment on the album, proper face-melting territory. It was amazing to have Jake on board with this track, and to be invited on tour with Converge!"

"I met Jake many years ago, and I have always been a huge fan of his music and art," Cavalera adds. "He and Nate [Newton, Converge bassist] have been massively supportive of Petbrick since our first demo. It was an honor to have him on the track 'Grind You Dull' off our new album, and of course we're looking forward to touring with the almighty Converge – hopefully we will get to do it live with him on vocals!"

Liminal is out September 23rd via Neurot Recordings and is available for pre-order here.
