If you've heard Converge's 2012 album, All We Love We Leave Behind, then you're well familiar with its sinuous, grooving opener "Aimless Arrow." That classic cut has gotten a serious reimagining care of the band's guitarist and noted producer-engineer Kurt Ballou. The GodCity Studio head honcho has reworked the two-and-a-half-minute ripper into a 30-minute ambient opus, fittingly titled "Endless Arrow," which the heavy-music trailblazers dropped via Bandcamp today, March 19th.

"To keep people entertained in these challenging times, we present 'Endless Arrow,' a 30-minute experimental/ambient version of our song 'Aimless Arrow' created by Kurt Ballou," the band stated simply of the release. "This track is offered as a Pay What You Want download now."

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Converge have canceled their upcoming tour dates. But the band members have been keeping very busy. Bassist Nate Newton is gearing up to issue a new album, Light of Meaning, with the sludge-noise supergroup Old Man Gloom, while frontman Jacob Bannon has numerous projects in the pipeline, including a steady stream of releases coming via his label Deathwish Inc. As for Converge as a collective, the group are reportedly working on the studio album version of their "Blood Moon" collaboration with Chelsea Wolfe and Cave In's Stephen Brodsky.
