Slipknot singer mixes outlaw country, punk and hard rock on latest single

Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor is gearing up to unleash his long-awaited and much-hyped debut solo album, CMFT, next month. So far, he's offered up two high-contrast singles, the heartfelt power ballad "Black Eyes Blue" and the chest-thumping rap-rock anthem "CMFT Must Be Stopped" (feat. Tech N9ne and Kid Bookie). Today (September 2nd), he's debuted single No. 3, "HWY 666," which showcases yet another side to Taylor's musical persona. The CMFT opener mashes together outlaw country, punk and hard rock, and comes paired with a badass animated lyric video complete with demons, muscle cars and the Grim Reaper himself. Watch and listen above.

The videos released in support of CMFT thus far have been as diverse as the singles themselves. "CMFT Must Be Stopped" clip came with a rowdy, star-studded clip complete with cameos from Marilyn Manson, Lars Ulrich, Rob Halford, Chris Jericho, ZillaKami and more, while the "Black Eyes Blue" visual focuses on Taylor wrangling with his demons, mostly alone in a desolate desert setting.

CMFT is due out October 2nd on Roadrunner Records. Pre-orders are available now with limited-edition vinyl and merch bundles available at thecoreytaylor.com.
