Hear Corpsegrinder Join Dee Snider on Chuggy New Song "Time to Choose"

The Cannibal Corpse x Twisted Sister collaboration we never knew we needed

One of the most fascinating things about heavy metal is its vastness. Twisted Sister vocalist Dee Snider and Cannibal Corpse frontman George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher are both metal musicians, but their music is so wildly different from one another that there's no reason why they'd ever cross paths unless they happened to be playing the same big-tent festival.

But that doesn't mean that CorpseSnider shouldn't exist, and now it does. Today (June 24th), the 66-year-old hair metal icon has unleashed a new song from his upcoming solo record, Leave a Scar, that amazingly features molten vocals from one of death-metal's most fearsome beasts.

Titled "Time to Choose," the track from Snider's fifth solo outing is an uncharacteristically heavy and chuggy jam that's a helluva lot thrashier, meaner and gnarlier than you'd expect from the guy who belted "We're Not Gonna Take It." Throughout the track, Corpsegrinder bellows behind Snider's mighty chants, adding a ferocious blast of death-metal heaviness to the track — which features an actual metalcore breakdown at the end!

"'Time To Choose' deals with a subject I've addressed often over the course of my writing career: good vs. evil," Snider commented. "Given the heaviness of this track, I felt adding George 'Corpsegrinder' Fisher's voice to this would drive home the seriousness of the choices we make. I was honored when he agreed to contribute his incredibly powerful voice."

Leave a Scar is due out July 30th via Napalm Records and is currently available for pre-order
