Hear CRAZY TOWN's SHIFTY SHELLSHOCK confront addiction on WE ARE PIGS' new song "Faded"

Self-described "nu-metal revival" project brings "Butterfly" singer into fold

Crazy Town singer Seth Binzer, a.k.a. Shifty Shellshock, recently made headlines for a bloody backstage brawl he got into with his bandmate Bobby Reeves, which got the nu-metal band — known for their 1999 song "Butterfly" — booted from a tour with (hed)p.e.

Binzer, who's publicly battled addiction for years, has had a rough go of it lately, and he opens up about some of his struggles on a new song called "Faded" with We Are PIGS, the self-described "nu-metal revival" project of producer, songwriter and artist Esjay Jones.

We Are PIGS' last song was a moody pop-rap collab with Smashing Pumpkins mastermind Billy Corgan, and this one brings Binzer into a similar sonic environment; clattering drums, foggy synths and a heart-wrenching vocal delivery from Jones.

In his verses, Binzer discusses addiction, his tough life growing up and working to overcome the shitty hand he's been dealt. Give it a listen above via YouTube.
