Cruelty are U.K. newcomers bringing back the savage sound of early Aughts metalcore — the kind that's part chaotic hardcore, part Gothenburg-style melodic death metal. They've released two EPs and hit the road with Revolver-approved compatriots like Employed to Serve, Higher Power, Renounced and Palm Reader. Then, of course, the pandemic put the brakes on live shows, and so Cruelty focused their efforts instead on whipping up their debut album. The result is There Is No God Where I Am, which the band has teamed up with Revolver to premiere in its entirety today (April 26th). If you like Converge, blast this below immediately.

Guitarist Gareth Davies tells us, "The LP was written and recorded during the break up of a marriage and long-term relationships within the band. Alongside the loss of relatives and Jon, our bass player, this led to a pretty bleak LP. Hopefully, people can identify with the hopelessness."

There Is No God Where I Am is due out April 30th via Church Road Records. You can pre-order it now.
