In June, metalcore vets Demon Hunter announced their new full-length, Exile, the band's first-ever concept album, and unveiled its crunching lead single, "Freedom Is Dead." Today (July 1st) they've returned with the LP's second preview cut, "Silence the World," which showcases a different, mellower, more contemplative side to the record. It also features a vocal assist by Evergrey's Tom S. Englund, who joins Sepultura co-founder Max Cavalera and Judas Priest shredder Richie Faulkner as one of the three guests on the album.

"We listened to Evergrey's Monday Morning Apocalypse on tour," singer Ryan Clark commented. "We all quickly fell in love with the band, and Tom's voice in particular. As 'Silence the World' began to take shape, we knew this was the song we'd love to hear him on.

"Ordinarily, I'll ask a contributing guest to sing a verse and perhaps a few other small pieces. In this instance, I really wanted Tom to sing the chorus as well. Not only was it more in his range than mine, but the line 'pull me from out of the tide' is a small wink to Evergrey's The Atlantic, which is one of my favorite metal records of all time."

Exile is due out September 9th and is now available for pre-order in a variety of formats. Revolver has an exclusive 2LP vinyl variant on "dystopian fog" colored wax that's limited to 500 copies worldwide. Get yours from our shop
