Hear DevilDriver Embrace Goth Roots on Heavy New Love Song "Wishing"

Dez Fafara gets darkly romantic on 'Dealing With Demons I' single

A DevilDriver love song? What's not to love? Hooky, heartfelt and still crushingly heavy, "Wishing" sees Dez Fafara and Co. exploring previously untrodden ground and embracing the singer's goth roots. The fourth single off the groove-metal stalwarts' new album, Dealing With Demons I, was inspired by Fafara's wife Anahstasia's battle with cancer, and it showcases a darkly romantic side to DevilDriver's typically aggro approach, with the singer making a solemn promise to a troubled loved one. "In the hanging garden where the dead flowers bloom/It's the root of all evil, filled with death rot and gloom," he intones. "And if you take my hand from that very lost place/I will lead you through darkness to that very safe space."

Dealing With Demons I is the first half of the metal stalwarts' forthcoming double-album, Dealing With Demons, and is due out October 2nd via Napalm Records. It's available in a Revolver-exclusive white vinyl variant strictly limited to 200 copies worldwide. Get yours now before they're gone!
