Hear Dimmu Borgir Conjure Bombastic Evil on First New Song in Eight Years

"Interdimensional Summit" is lead single off band's forthcoming 'Eonian' LP

It's been eight years since Norwegian black-metal symphonists Dimmu Borgir dropped an album on the world, but seeing as 2018 marks the band's 25th anniversary, vocalist Shagrath and Co. have decided to end the drought. Their upcoming LP Eonian is set for release May 4th and, according to the singer, "represents the illusion of time, everything that is and always has been," and is "itself is a tribute to our own history and the Norwegian black metal history."

In anticipation, Dimmu have released a cut off the record, "Interdimensional Summit," which features all the diabolical bombast that fans have come to expect over the years. You can watch the video for the song — which sees the band throwing down front of a neon pentagram and evoking Hellraiser on a fog-enshrouded sound stage — above. The single is available via the usual music streaming suspects and on 7-inch vinyl via Nuclear Blast. Scroll down for Eonian's cover art and track list.
