Hear the Distillers Return to Perfect Punk Form on First New Song in 15 Years

Brody Dalle and Co. are back with single "Man vs. Magnet"

After months of hint-dropping via her personal Instagram, Brody Dalle and her recently reunited Los Angeles punk band the Distillers are back with their first new song in 15 years. "Man vs. Magnet" is an intensely listenable track with a driving beat and distinctly California punk guitars to complement Dalle's smoky voice. Not all bands could take off a decade and a half to come back stronger and catchier than before, but the Distillers have returned in seemingly perfected form.

After the breakup of the band in 2006, Dalle and fellow Distillers bandmate Tony Bevilacqua formed Spinnerette for a three-year run. Since releasing one EP and one studio album, that outfit has been on indefinite hiatus. Luckily for fans, that meant more time for Dalle to get the Distillers back together for "Man vs. Magnet" and its B-side, "Blood in Gutters" (listen below), originally released as a solo single in 2014. While no official information has been released regarding a full record, the Distillers have been active on their official Facebook page and have a few live dates coming up on the West Coast.

The Distillers tour dates:
09/12 - Portland, OR, US - Roseland Theater
09/14 - Oakland, Oakland, CA, US - Fox Theater
09/15 - Hollywood, CA, US - Hollywood Palladium
