Hear DOPE's industrial-metal cover of THE CURE's "Lovesong"

Featuring electronic duo Drama Club

Back in the nu-metal golden age of 1999, Dope dropped a punchy, industrial-metal cover of Dead or Alive's Eighties dance-floor anthem "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)." For their upcoming album, Blood Money Part Zer0, Edsel Dope and Co. have revisited that decade with a guitar-and-electronics-heavy take on the Cure's "Lovesong," and fittingly, they've premiered it today (February 14th), Valentine's Day.

The "Lovesong" cover sees Dope teaming with electronic duo Drama Club, who also contributed to two other tracks on Blood Money Part Zer0, "Misery" and the single "Believe." Their joint take on the Cure's romantic goth classic turns the song into an industrialized nu-metal dirge, adding an menacing edge to the yearning, heart-on-sleeve original. Crank it above via its visualizer video.

Blood Money Part Zer0 is due out February 24th and available for pre-order now.
