Hear Dream Ritual Channel Meat Puppets on Riffy 90s-Inspired New Song "Stones"

Venerable Code Orange, Power Trip producer Arthur Rizk manned the boards on new cut from 'Trips Around the Sun'

Dream Ritual is, according to their own admission, "a band from the middle of nowhere." And while that proclamation is not exactly true (the band hails from Springfield, MO in the highly industrialized country of the USA), it wouldn't be entirely inaccurate to say that the band came from "out of nowhere" either, after a previous effort on 6131 Records with small releases soon behind it.

Their latest record is Trips Around the Sun, an eight-track effort produced by Arthur Rizk that includes the new single, "Stones," a riffy rocker that recalls Nineties alt radio staples that range from Meat Puppets to Weezer and on. This is power-pop with an emphasis on power, yet never straying away from the sugary sweet melodies that make the juxtaposition so crucial. Check out "Stones" above and order your copy of Trips Around the Sun at Bandcamp.
