Hear Dreamy Preview of Shoegaze Outfit Nothing's New Song "Zero Day"

First single from Philly band's new album 'Dance on the Blacktop' arrives June 5th

Philly grunge-gaze outfit Nothing have announced a new full-length, Dance on the Blacktop. Though a release date has yet to be revealed for the follow-up to 2016's breakthrough Tired of Tomorrow LP, a new single appears imminent, as indicated by a mysterious trailer posted to Nothing's social media accounts today (May 30th).

The minute-long clip, soundtracked by a mournful dream-pop instrumental, shows a man setting fire to a coffin etched with the band's logo, while a message ("Our world is nothing") and date (06/05/2018) flash across the screen; it's captioned by a link to a new website, danceontheblacktop.com, that reveals the upcoming single's title to be "Zero Day." Fire up the hype machine!

Back in November, Nothing joined Justin Broadrick (Godflesh) and Dominick Fernow (Prurient) for a one-off joint performance celebrating the 20th anniversary of Fernow's Hospital Productions label. Below, go inside the once-in-a-lifetime collaboration in our exclusive documentary series.
