Back in 2010, then-former Chiodos singer Craig Owens launched a new band called D.R.U.G.S. (short for Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows) and released their eponymous debut in 2011. The record quickly became a landmark album during that era of glitzy post-hardcore, but just as the band was picking up steam, they broke up in 2012 when Owens was invited back into Chiodos. In early 2020, Owens unveiled that he was reigniting the project, and after releasing their first song in over a decade last month, the catchy "Destiny," now they've announced Destroy Rebuild, their long-awaited sophomore album. They've also shared an explosive new single from it called "Satellites in Motion."
Notably, the band is now a three-piece fronted by Owens and featuring guitarist Jona Weinhofen — who previously played in Bring Me the Horizon, I Killed the Prom Queen and Bleeding Through — and former All That Remains bassist Aaron Patrick. Destroy Rebuild is out in June via Velocity Records, and they're currently out on tour with Scary Kids Scaring Kids promoting it to audiences in the U.S..
