Hear Eagle Twin Take on "Death and the Devil" on Bluesy New Doom Track "Heavy Hoof"

You've heard of southern doom, funeral doom, blackened doom and a thousand other iterations, but Eagle Twin are here to make sure you're aware of their approach to the genre: mountain doom. Not that they actually call their music that, but between the grizzly man vocals of Gentry Densley, his chainsaw-like guitar work and the band's blues-inflected doom approach, songs like "Heavy Hoof" sounds best blasting out of an F150 with a flatbed littered in pine needles. "Heavy Hoof" makes its debut here today, a monstrously riffy modern take on the blues that could be based on a work song from centuries ago. "'Heavy Hoof' is the first Eagle Twin song we ever wrote so it has been something we have played throughout the years but never properly recorded until now," the band comments. "It's a simple ditty, that has only gotten heavier over time, all about death and the devil and all that good stuff!"
