Featuring the bulk of the much loved Vancouver band Baptists, Erosion is a new troupe featuring Nick Yacyshyn, Danny Marshall, and Andrew Drury from said team as well as Rick O'Dell from Tobeatic / Hard Feelings and vocalist Jamie Hooper from 3 Inches of Blood / Congress. The result is not what you would expect and even more hateful than you can imagine.

The lead single from the forthcoming Hydra Head release LP Maximum Suffering is "Human Error," which barrels through like a mid-paced steamroller, giving a knowing look to Celtic Frost and grinding death like Terrorizer before slowing into a Khanate-esque doom rhythm for the final moments of hatred. Hooper's vocals aren't so much screaming as they are borderline vomit, making the entirety of "Human Error" that much more putrid and furious. This is expertly executed stuff that shows no sign of the abhorrent d-beat / stadium crust wave that has plagued us with mediocrity in the past few years.

Stream "Human Error" above for the first time, preorder Maximum Suffering ahead of its 10/19 release, and hope for some upcoming tour dates.
