Hear Every Time I Die's Raucous New Song "Post-Boredom"

Catchy banger from Buffalo metalcore rascals' new album 'Radical'

Revolver has teamed up with Every Time I Die for an exclusive vinyl variant of their new album Radical on "opaque turquoise" wax. There're only 350 copies available, so grab yours while you can!

Every Time I Die are finally in album mode. After a five-year gap since 2016's Low Teens, the longest in the Buffalo metalcore band's fruitful history, they're officially ready to drop their ninth full-length, Radical, later this fall.

If you've been keeping up with the band since the end of 2020, then you've already heard three of the album's singles — "A Colossal Wreck," "Desperate Measures" and "AWOL." However, today, the band have unveiled another one titled "Post-Boredom" that's yet another promising glimpse at the band's new opus.

It's not ETID's heaviest song and it's also not their most infectious, but it's a terrific showcase of the scraggly yells, pounding riffs and manic energy that makes their music so compelling. Plus, it has has Queen-esque harmonies at one point that seriously rule.

What's more, the boys also put together a hilarious music video that features all sorts of kookiness that was shot and filmed in their home city. Watch and listen above via YouTube.

"'Post-Boredom' was the first song I ever wrote that gave me the feeling of real truth," frontman Keith Buckley explained. "I wasn't hiding any secret confessions in metaphors, I was very much fed up with living an unfulfilling life and felt that I needed a death, either figuratively or literally, in order to have a fighting chance at finding new meaning."

"I see this song from a distance," he continued. "It's reflective but also, finally, detached. Not a full ego death, but indicative that the process needed to start immediately in my own life. If you read the lyrics and it resonates with you, then you also need to recognize that you might be feeling unseen in your current form. So, what are you going to do about it if given the gift of death?"

Radical is coming October 22nd via Epitaph Records and it's now available for pre-order. Revolver has an exclusive 2LP vinyl variant on "opaque turquoise" wax that's limited to just 350 copies. Order yours now before they're gone!
