Hear Ex-Trouble, Cathedral Members Bring Doom on the Skull's New Song "Ravenswood"

Sabbathian riff-worshippers drop psych-metal stomper off forthcoming second album

Doom-metal juggernaut the Skull, featuring vocalist Eric Wagner and bassist Ron Holzner, formerly of metal pioneers Trouble, are set to drop their highly anticipated sophomore album, The Endless Road Turns Dark, September 7th via Tee Pee Records. Recorded in Chicago's Decade Music Studios with engineer Sanford Parker (Yob, Tombs), the eight-track full-length follows up the Skull's acclaimed 2014 debut LP, For Those Which Are Asleep. Ahead of the new record's release, the band — which also features guitarists Lothar Keller (Sacred Dawn) and Rob Wrong (Witch Mountain), and drummer Brian Dixon (Cathedral) — has offered up "Ravenswood," the second track on the album, and a Sabbathian psych-metal stomper of the highest order.

"'Ravenswood' is one of my favorite lyrics on the new album, The Endless Road Turns Dark," Wagner enthuses. "This reminds me of where I truly am in life and all that I had to go through to get here." Stream it above.
