Somewhere between Unsane, Jesus Lizard and Dazzling Killmen sits Exhalants, a new Austin group comprised of members of Carl Sagan's Skate Shoes and Body Pressure. Following in the steps of the legendary Cherubs, Exhalants make caustic noise rock with melodic inflection, reminding you that it was their hometown that gave birth to all of the above, as well as the legendary Scratch Acid.

Exhalants are preparing to release their new self-titled record on August 25th via Self Sabotage, a ten-track effort recorded and mixed in Austin by Ian Rundell (Ghetto Ghouls) and mastered by Greg Obis (Yeesh). The first single is the album opener "Latex," a clear example of not only the band's unique take on their influences, but also their ability and potential live firepower.
