Let it be written, Matt Harvey is a lifer. From projects as varied as Gruesome to Exhumed, from Noothgrush to Scarecrow and on and on, Harvey has proved that his depth and breadth of knowledge in the "metallic arts" is rather undisputed. Get ready to add another notch to Harvey's belt with Pounder.

Harvey founded Pounder in 2016 with bassist Alejandro Corredor (Nausea LA, live bassist for Vallenfyre) and guitarist Tom Draper (Carcass, ex-Angel Witch, Crowning Glory), and their sound pays tribute to everything from NWOBHM to early speed metal and even classic glam metal, combining well-tuned harmonic vocals with vicious guitars — calling to mind classic bands like Judas Priest, Dokken, Ratt and more. After a demo and an EP in the past two years, 2019 welcomes the Pounder debut for Hells Headbangers, the Uncivilized LP due via cassette/CD/LP on February 22. The lead single, "Long Time No Love," sounds ripped directly from classic glam metal radio but peppered with harder riffs after the melodic vocals move from the front seat. There's enough melody there to keep the track rattling around your brain, but good enough riffs to keep the cro-magnon part satiated.
