Hear Eyehategod's New Rager "High Risk Trigger"

NOLA sludge veterans offer taste of first album since 2014

"We toured our asses off for three years and that's where A History of Nomadic Behavior basically comes from," Eyehategod vocalist Mike IX Williams says of the title of his band's forthcoming new album. Due out March 12th via Century Media, it will be the NOLA sludge titans' first studio LP in seven years, a period that not only found the road dogs playing out relentlessly, but also saw Williams suffer liver failure and a transplant. "Death is a part of life, it's a roll of the dice," he notes. "Sometimes you take life as it comes, other times you fight to stay alive."

That fighting spirit burns brightly on A History of Nomadic Behavior's lead single, "High Risk Trigger," an apocalyptic rager instilled with the anxiety and insurgency of our times. "Infection is the way, disruptive crowd takes aim," Williams snarls. "Burn down the rail yard house, destroy the U.S.A." Blast it above.

"We're not a political band, but it was hard not to be affected by the news from the past year," Williams comments. "During this recording, I thought a lot about how stupid humanity has become and how America is now completely divided with these people who don't believe in science and blindly follow liars and nonsensical ideologies. Some of those feelings may have found their way into these songs, but it is mostly subliminal."

A History of Nomadic Behavior is available in a variety of collectible formats, including a Revolver-exclusive brown swirled vinyl variant limited to 300 copies worldwide. Get yours now before they're gone!
