It might be unusually warm for February in the Northeast, but Frozen Soul are promising that Glacial Domination is on the horizon. This May, the Texas death-metal up-and-comers are dropping their follow-up to 2021's widely-heralded Cryptic of Ice LP, and for Glacial Domination, they've tapped Trivium main man Matthew K. Heafy to produce the whole record.

Today, they band are previewing the album with a frigidly heavy new song called "Morbid Effigy," which happens to feature Dying Fetus screamer John Gallagher on the mic. In the above music video, a deranged man who believes he's in some sort of cheery Christmas fantasy ends up building a "snowman" out of human remains. It's gruesome as fuck in the best way possible, and you can watch and listen above now via YouTube.

"'Morbid Effigy' is straight to the point death metal that's exactly what it should be — fun," the band said in a press release. "This song is everything Frozen Soul is, and we are so excited for everyone to hear it! The video is truly a work of art. Have you ever wondered what a snowman would look like made out of guts?"

Glacial Domination is out May 19th via Century Media and it's now available for pre-order in a variety of formats. One of those is a Revolver-exclusive vinyl variant on "magenta/black marbled" wax — limited to just 300 copies worldwide. Order yours from our shop!
