Hear Ghost's First New Song in 2 Years "Hunter's Moon"

Featured in the 'Halloween Kills' film

Get Ghost's new single "Hunter's Moon" on limited-edition vinyl 7-inch, featuring John Carpenter's "Halloween Kills" theme on the B-side, at Revolver's shop.

Ghost are back! Mastermind Tobias Forge and his Nameless Ghouls have returned with their first new song in two years, and their first original number since Cardinal Copia's ascension to Papa Emeritus IV. The single is called "Hunter's Moon," and it appears in the highly anticipated new entry in the Halloween horror franchise, Halloween Kills. It's a perfect pairing and Ghost come through with a killer cut befitting masked slasher Michael Myers, full of the occult-rock juggernaut's signature hooks and metallic edge. Hear it above via the song's eerie music video.

The roots of the song reach back to the evening of Ghost's November 2018 headline show at the L.A. Forum, where Forge met with the ghoulish minds of Blumhouse, the production house behind Halloween Kills, not to mention Paranormal Activity, Insidious, The Purge and other celebrated fright flicks. Less than a year later, in October 2019, Blumhouse invited the Ghost ringleader to visit the Halloween Kills set and spend time with director David Gordon Green to get a hands-on sense of the vibe of the movie, which instills the new song.

"Hunter's Moon" comes hot on the heels of Ghost's announcement of an early 2022 coheadline run with Danish "Elvis metal" crew Volbeat. Satanic doo-wop duo Twin Temple are set to play in support on the 26-city tour, which will kick off on January 25th in Reno, Nevada's Reno Events Center and wrap up in Anaheim, California, at the Honda Center on March 3rd.
