Just yesterday (September 12th), Ghost gave us "Kiss the Go Goat" and announced the upcoming release of a two-song EP titled Seven Inches of Satanic Panic that will help tide over ravenous members of congregation stuck between Prequelle and whatever the Swedish devil-worshippers dream up next. Now the world can hear the second half of that release, the equally sugary "Mary on a Cross."
The story behind these two new jams involves the legend of Ghost's first-ever performance in 1969, when the band were fronted by a sprightly Papa Nihil. Yesterday's video, done up in true vintage style, recreated this vintage event in splendid, retro glory, a vibe echoed in today's upbeat, organ-heavy release.
Collectors of the band's work — and those who can actually keep up with the madcap narrative engineered by Ghost architect Tobias Forge — can pick up a copy of the collectible seven-inch via Loma Vista Records or download and stream it via the usual digital music suspects.
