Hear Godsmack's First New Song in 4 Years "Surrender"

A taste of Sully Erna and Co.'s upcoming eighth album

Godsmack have offered up a taste of their forthcoming, as-yet-untitled eighth studio album with a hooky, heartfelt new single, "Surrender." Featuring a burly main riff and an anthemic chorus, both right in the hard-rock veterans' sweet spot, the cut marks the first release from Sully Erna and Co. in four years, following the band's gold-certified 2018 album, When Legends Rise.

"'Surrender' is a very cut and dry song," Erna commented of the single. "It's simply about the exhaustion we can all feel in relationships at times from the redundancy of fighting with each other. At a certain point in our lives, we submit to putting aside who's right or wrong, we just want it to STOP! So we wave the white flag."
