Rock icons dig up 1986 recording for upcoming 'Appetite for Destruction' reissue

Tomorrow (June 29th) marks the release of one of the most anticipated reissues of 2018 — Guns N' Roses massive Appetite for Destruction package. The hard-rock icons have dusted off a slew of rarities, one-offs, demos, and visuals for the package, including "Shadow of Your Love" (a relic from Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin's pre-GN'R band Hollywood Rose that was later recorded by Guns N' Roses) and a long-lost music video for "It's So Easy."

With less than 24 hours to go before the set hits shelves, Rose and Co. have dropped off one more rarity: a never-before-heard, piano-only version of their seminal track "November Rain." Recorded at Los Angeles' Sound City Studios 1986, this version of the ballad is far more fragile than the final version heard on 1991's Use Your Illusion I, comprising little more than vocals, piano, and tambourine.

Guns N' Roses are currently on tour in Europe through the end of July, with an Asian leg to follow in the fall. Find the full itinerary here.
