Hear Hatebreed's Brutal New Song, "When the Blade Drops"

Hardcore heavyweights return with first new track in four years
Connecticut-based hardcore stalwarts Hatebreed have delivered. The group has teasing a new track to drop today, February 14th, and it seriously does not disappoint and it's everything you wanted from Hatebreed and more. Listen to "When the Blade Drops" above.

As their first new song in four years, frontman Jamey Jasta said, "This is just a taste of what's to come and we're definitely going hard on this one. The speed, intensity, and brutality that people have come to expect from us is on full display. Can't wait to play this one live and see the pit erupt."

Guitarist Wayne Lozinak added, "Can't wait for you to hear it. It's a great song and I think you're gonna love it."

Hatebreed are expected to release the follow-up to 2016's The Concrete Confessional this spring. While Jasta is known for his positive, inspirational message, on the next album he might be getting "much darker and much more angry." However the lyrics turn out, expect the songs to be massive, concert-ready anthems. As Jasta has joked: "We're 'Arena-Core' now."

In the meantime, the band has tour dates lined up overseas that see them hitting the road in Europe with Parkway Drive, Stick to Your Guns and Venom Prison and later in Australia with Parkway Drive and Every Time I Die.
