Hear High on Fire's Savage New Song "Spewn From the Earth"

Metal's filthiest thrash stoners spit more signature venom ahead of upcoming LP 'Electric Messiah'

High on Fire are, like rocks gods Motörhead before them, remarkably capable of releasing music that's undoubtedly their own, time and time again, while maintaining a ferocious freshness that helps them stand apart from every other band in metal today. On their latest single, "Spewn From the Earth," the trio proves once again what makes them masters of their craft: Frontman Matt Pike's searing rasp, impenetrable walls of heated, whip-fast distortion, and the unstoppable gallop of Des Kensel's drumming. The band, gearing up for the release of their eighth studio album Electric Messiah, proves once again they're still at the top of their game and don't seem to be falling anytime soon.

The upcoming album will serve as a tribute to the late great Motörhead singer/bassist Lemmy Kilmeister, who appeared to Pike in a dream. High on Fire's singer/guitarist claims the legendary frontman was "hazing" him, and the tracks on Messiah are Pike's way of honoring her hero while also telling the world that he'd never presume to fill Lemmy's shoes. Check out the new cut above; you can order a copyof Electric Messiah ahead of it arrival this Friday, October 5th.
