Hear Ho99o9 and Travis Barker Go Hardcore on New Rager "Battery Not Included"

First taste of rap-punk duo's upcoming album out this spring

L.A. via New Jersey industrial punk duo Ho99o9 have a busy year ahead of them. Later this spring, they'll join Slipknot and Cypress Hill on leg two of the Knotfest Roadshow tour, and sometime in that period they'll also release their long-awaited sophomore album. Fans can expect more details on that in the not-too-distant future, but today, Ho99o9 are treating us to a ripping new hardcore banger called "Battery Not Included" — produced by Blink-182 drummer, rap producer and pop-punk renaissance man, Travis Barker.

While Ho99o9 started off their career blending elements of rap, punk and industrial, "Battery Not Included" is a straight-up ferocious punk track that's laced with bit of electronic drum-and-bass flair. In other words, it's way more Show Me the Body than Death Grips, but it's definitely their own thing entirely. Blast it while you watch its freaky video above via YouTube.

"There's only but so much mental and physical affliction and oppression the human psyche can endure before they reach the pinnacle of no return," the band said. "I think we've all had our moments where we're fed up, our mind isn't rational, our eyesight is only seeing red and within that sequence, emotions can get the best of us, if any. The first single is aimed to focus on once past the conscience state of no return anything is liable to happen when pushed past your limits."
