Brooklyn-based Cuban-American experimental noise musician Rene J. Nunez-Cabrera, a.k.a. Horoscope, has set out to explore the intersection between traditional Cuban music and abstract adventurous sounds on a trilogy of records: El Espejo y el Mar (2015), Misogyny Stone (2017) and this year's forthcoming Carne.

Today, July 10th, Horoscope premiere "Besa el Anillo con Todo Tu Alma" from Carne., which is due via Wharf Cat on July 19th.

The song — the title of which translates to "kiss the ring with all your soul" — opens with a repetitive and ominous orchestral stab that cycles throughout. From there, "Besa el Anillo con Todo Tu Alma" is a journey through terror using odd electronic noises, manipulated female vocal and more that swells and decrescendos to a softer conclusion, all inspired by his Cuban-American musical heritage. Check out the above, and oder your copy of Carne via Wharf Cat.
