Masked NYC trio reimagine 'OK Computer' classic

Endorsed by Meshuggah, Mr. Bungle and Kenny G (seriously), masked NYC weirdos Imperial Triumphant are cranking out some of the most head-spinning heavy metal being made today. So it's no surprise that their new cover of Radiohead's OK Computer classic "Paranoid Android" sounds very little like the original and very much like something from an Fritz Lang-designed alternate universe where jazz-head biomechanical demons mosh in slow motion in pools of red wine. Or something.

Whatever images it conjures in your particular brain, it's pretty fucking sick. Listen above via the single's cool animated music video.

"We are huge fans of Radiohead and their ethos," Imperial Triumphant vocalist-guitarist Zachary Ezrin commented. "We feel that Radiohead have a diverse and unique approach to song craft and lyricism that we have always gravitated towards, and the song 'Paranoid Android' lays out a perfect canvas for us to play and create with. ... It was a pleasure reinterpreting this great rock classic, and we hope you find it immensely pleasurable."

"Paranoid Android" is the first in a series of covers from Imperial Triumphant. Stay tuned. You can pick up the band's acclaimed 2020 album, Alphaville, on limited-edition colored vinyl at Revolver's shop.
