Hear Jinjer's Tatiana Shmayluk Guest on Decapitated's New Ripper "Hello Death"

Polish tech-death vets offer up latest taste of 'Cancer Culture' LP

Ukrainian metal stars Jinjer have been knocked off course due to the ongoing war in their home country, being forced to cancel their scheduled appearance on this year's Knotfest Roadshow. But the group has still been active: Jinjer recently launched charity merch to raise funds for Ukrainian relief, and today (April 8th) singer Tatiana Shmayluk has popped up on a new song and video from Polish tech-death stalwarts Decapitated.

The crushing single is titled "Hello Death," and for most of it, the cut showbases Decapitated's signature mix of serrated riffery and harsh vocals — but then Shmayluk steps up, delivering a soothing clean croon that provides a respite amid the storm. Listen and watch above.

"Jinjer is one of the more interesting acts in metal music of the last few years and Tatiana's vocals on the song will surprise some people," Decapitated leader and guitarist Vogg commented.

Cancer Culture, Decapitated's eighth full-length and the follow-up to 2017's Anticult, is due out May 27th via Nuclear Blast and available for pre-order now.
