Within the stacked modern hardcore scene, Portland's Dying Wish is quietly producing bulldozer-like cuts that nod to the chaos of late-Nineties metalcore, but with an extra dose of venom and vitriol. Pulling, as well, from Slayer and Swedish and Finnish death metal, Dying Wish aim to eviscerate, and we love 'em for it. The band's vocalist, Emma B, contributed guest vocals to Knocked Loose's "A Serpent's Touch," a standout cut off that band's recently released breakthrough LP, A Different Shade of Blue, and now Knocked Loose singer Bryan Garris has returned favor, roaring on Dying Wish's new single "Enemies in Red." Hear the far-beyond-ferocious mosh-pit rager below.
