Pure Noise Records is backing a steady onslaught of brutality this year, with their Revolver-sponsored label tour featuring Terror, Stick to Your Guns and more already well underway, and new songs from its lineup dropping in conjunction. Today, July 23rd, the biggest band on the Pure Noise roster (and recent Revolver cover stars), Knocked Loose, joined in the fray, offering up a fucking scorcher.
The Kentucky crew is already one of the biggest draws in hardcore, and their latest track "Trapped in the Grasp of a Memory" is a perfect summation of the raging, wild energy and undeniable riffs that keeps fans coming. Nearly four minutes of visceral progressions and breakdowns, the song uses traditional elements of the genre that will kick up a circle pit in any crowd, but there are harder groove aspects with a nu-metallic tinge that add interest and depth to an already-incendiary composition, as well.
"Trapped in the Grasp of a Memory" will appear on Knocked Loose's upcoming full-length A Different Shade of Blue, coming August 23rd via Pure Noise. You can pre-order it here and catch the band out on the road at one of the dates found here now through November.
