Kvelertak, Norway's finest purveyors of metal-infused hard-rock, have announced a new album titled Endling, their first since 2020's Splid and second with singer Ivar Nikolaisen, who joined in 2018. It's out later this fall, and today (April 11th) they've shared a fist-pumping new single called "Krøterveg Te Helvete" that showcases their earworm riffage and haggardly catchy vocals.

The multi-layered song is a perfect melding of the sextet's many musical sides, mixing a pure headbanging assault with more melodic fragments comparable to AC/DC. The track culminates in a beautifully proggy section that brings in keyboards and squiggling guitar tones. Listen above via YouTube.

Speaking on the new album, guitarist Vidar Landa said, "On Endling, we tell the stories of the extinct and dying men and women of Norway. Old and new myths, culture, and rituals come to life — the folklore that doesn't fit a TV series concept. Vikings and trolls are for television. This is the real deal."

Endling is out September 8th via Rise/Petroleum Records and it's now available for pre-order in a variety of formats. Revolver has an exclusive white colored vinyl variant that's limited to just 300 copies worldwide. Get yours from our shop!
