Hear Lamb of God Honor Noise-Rockers Big Black With Brutal "Kerosene" Cover

Track appears on upcoming covers LP under band's original name Burn the Priest

Lamb of God are marking the 20th anniversary of the first and only album under their original name, Burn the Priest, with Legion: XX, a new covers record featuring their takes on tracks by the Cro-Mags, Agnostic Front, Ministry and more. After revisiting their punk roots with a blistering run-through of the Accüsed's "Inherit the Earth," Randy Blythe and Co. have unleashed their cover of Big Black's "Kerosene." It's a worthy tribute to Steve Albini's revered Eighties noise-rock band.

Legion: XX is out May 18th via Epic. Lamb of God will be hitting the road imminently as part of Slayer's farewell tour, as well as on a slew of standalone dates alongside black-metal icons Behemoth. Check here for the full itinerary.

Revolver's been counting down the days to Legion: XX with a series of track-by-track videos with singer Randy Blythe breaking down each cover song on the release. In the clip below, Blythe talks about how he related to the lyrics of Big Black's "Kerosene" as a teen growing up in rural Virginia with nothing to do, and how, when the band went to record the track, what seemed like such a simple song on the surface actually gave them a ton of problems.
