Hear Living Dead Girl Channel In This Moment, Avril Lavigne on New Song "Escape"

Single is about "finding somewhere that you fit in to call home"

"Living Dead Girl" is, of course, the title of a classic Rob Zombie disco-metal stomper. It's also the name of a Canadian modern metal project helmed by bandleader and vocalist Molly Rennick, who's following in the footsteps of ol' Rob, but with her own distinct twist. Frankensteining together elements of goth, metal, industrial, pop and punk, Living Dead Girl represents the two sides of 21-year-old Rennick's split personality: "one wears baby pink and Hello Kitty and listens to pop music, and the other a goth girl in fishnet stockings," she says.

Today (February 26th), Living Dead Girl have unveiled the rip-roaring "Escape," the latest single off the band's upcoming 11-track full-length, Exorcism, due out this spring. It follows up the already released title track and "Alive." Check it out above via its official lyric video.

"'Escape' is about leaving behind a place that was holding you back," Rennick tells us. "It's about moving on to bigger and better things, rather than staying somewhere you feel no sense of belonging, and finding somewhere that you fit in to call home."
