Hear Low Life's Hypnotic New Goth-Punk Song "Lust Forevermore"

Sydney act channels the Cure's sadness, Joy Division's drive and tension

With its slithering gothic punk approach, Sydney's Low Life have some things in common with their peers Total Control, including production by TC member / recording go-to Mikey Young. There's a icy darkness that lingers over the entirety of "Lust Forevermore," a sadness that recalls the great work of the Cure's middle period with the driving force and tension of Joy Division. It's beautiful and anxious, pensive while damaged, but overall urgent and just plain great. Check out the new single which appears for the first time above, culled from the forthcoming Downer Edn  out March 15 via Goner Records (US), Alter (UK) and Cool Death (Aus).

Regarding "Lust Forevermore," Mitch Tolman offers the idea that "Oh look, I'm sure we've all felt faulty or defective at some stage. A bit of reconfiguration wouldn't hurt?"
