Chicago three-piece Lume know that the root of the word emo is emotional — and not just a singular word that has been dragged through the mud by every crying teenager to ever hold a guitar. Their latest black-and-white clip focuses on the track "Keep Me Under," a tense, emotional and fragile track that feels like it's delivered by a man on the precipice — debating on whether to breakdown or go Falling Down. Darkly pensive and beautiful, "Keep Me Under" is decidedly post-hardcore and emo, but more so in the same way as Unwound, Rites of Spring or Slint.
"Keep Me Under" will appear on the forthcoming Wrung Out, due on April 20th via Equal Vision.
