Linkin Park bassist Dave Farrell has teamed up with professional golfer Brendan Steele and longtime friend Mark Fiore to launch "Member Guest," a new podcast discussing "golf, music, and less important things." Joining the self-proclaimed "Members" for the show's debut episode was Avenged Sevenfold frontman M. Shadows, who chatted about everything from golf trips and "jazz shots" (you read that right: M. Shadows likes to golf) to fallen friends and creative challenges.

At one point, Farrell and Shadows reflected on their experiences performing at One More Light, Linkin Park's benefit concert honoring the late Chester Bennington, and the loss of bandmates in general. It's a subject Shadows knows all too well, having grappled with the sudden death of Avenged Sevenfold drummer James "The Rev" Sullivan in 2009.

"Going out there and doing something right away, I think, was a very smart move," Shadows said of the show. "That's the one of things that can just keep building: the anticipation, and also, it's just a lot of sadness. I think going out there was a healing process for a lot of those fans; you could see them, they were crying ... it was a healing process for everyone."
