Get Megadeth's new album, The Sick, The Dying... And the Dead!, on vinyl and CD at Revolver's shop.
We're less than a month out from the release of Megadeth's hotly-anticipated new album The Sick, the Dying... And the Dead!, their first full-length in six long years and first since bandleader Dave Mustaine's battle with throat cancer. So far, we heard the rippin' lead single "We'll Be Back" and another called "Night Stalkers" that features none other than Body Count frontman Ice-T.
Today (August 12th), we're being treated to another taste. The band have dropped a chunky, mid-tempo rager called "Solider On!" that features that classic Megadeth swing, a mighty chorus and of course some utterly shred-tastic guitarwork from the man Mustaine. Listen above via YouTube.
"Coming to the realization that you need to walk away from a relationship that's very toxic, and how hard it can be to start down that road," Mustaine said of the lyrics. "But you know you need to, and just taking that first step is the hardest part. Whatever your leaving does to them, you have to block that part out, stay the course and do what's right for you. It will be hard in the beginning, but you have got to live for yourself to be worth a damn to anyone else. You've got to Soldier On!"
The Sick, the Dying... And the Dead! is due out September 2nd.
