Hear Melodic Hardcore Stalwarts Modern Life Is War's Apocalyptic New Song

Iowa band kicks off new singles series with seething "Feels Like End Times"

Modern Life Is War are back in action. Nearly five years after dropping 2013's excellent album Fever Hunting, the Iowa hardcore stalwarts have shared a searing new song, "Feels Like End Times." The crusher — which arrives accompanied by a crimson-saturated music video — marks the inaugural installment of "Tribulation Worksongs," an ongoing run of 7-inch singles the band will roll out via Deathwish Inc. over the coming months. (The physical edition of "Feels Like End Times," which is available for pre-order here, is backed by another never-before-heard ripper titled "Lonesome Valley Ammunitions.")

In related news, MLIW have a slew of shows coming up, including gigs with seminal NYC punk bands Gorilla Biscuits and Cro-Mags. Find all those dates below, as well as the lyrics to the new single.

"Feels Like End Times" lyrics:
I have been blissed. I have been kissed by fate. I have been made mad right where I stand. See me. I am drenched in the echoes of war. With no future to sacrifice I declare my time is mine. I am standing at the root of my truth. in the crossfire of love with no time to compromise. Feels like end times. Some will submit. Some will be taken by force. Cowards & Weakhearts: Time is tracking you down. Find another working class apologist I am not your shill. God wrath on rich hypocrites A prophecy fulfilled. No time for compromise. Feels like end times. Clairvoyant fatal vision; a prophecy fulfilled. Walls scrawled with blood. I've got trouble in mind. Another sunrise. Another morning to thrive. Another victim. Another crime. Another narrow escape from death on the vine. I have been blissed. I have been kissed by fate.
