Hear Memphis May Fire's Explosive New Cover of Linkin Park's "Faint"

Tennessee metalcore outfit celebrates life of Chester Bennington with intense performance

In the years since Chester Bennington's untimely 2017 death, many musicians have offered up tributes to the fallen Linkin Park frontman in the form of touching renditions of songs from the singer's extensive catalog.

The latest tribute comes today, April 24th, from Tennessee-based metalcore outfit Memphis May Fire with their cover of Linkin Park's classic track, "Faint," from 2003's Meteora

Loyal to the source material but with an incendiary edge that comes from the hunger of being a youthful band still at their peak, the tribute holds a fresh spirit despite the palpable melancholy present in light of Bennington's passing. "A lot of times, when covering a song, you're doing it for fun or to showcase your skills as an artist," explains MMF singer Matty Mullins, "But this specific opportunity was a chance for us to honor a band that has had a profound impact on us. There will never be another Linkin Park and there will never be another Chester Bennington. We are forever grateful for the music they made and we hope this cover will encourage our younger fans to dive into the Linkin Park discography and discover the same inspiration that we did years ago."

Memphis May Fire's most recent full-length Broken is out now via Rise Records, and the group will embark on a summer tour starting June 21st. Check out a list of dates below and download or stream the "Faint" cover here
