Hear Meow Mix's New Metal Jingle by Fictional Band Endless Hiss

"Meow Mix Jingle of Sorrow" channels feline fury

There must be something in the water that's driving heavy metal to infect the mainstream, because so far this week we've had Fred Durst appearing in a CarMax commercial, a Jeopardy! question involving Morbid Angel and Obituary, and now, in possibly the strangest event yet, Meow Mix has released a heavy-metal jingle featuring fictitious band Endless Hiss' roaring, riff-filled rendition of the cat food brand's long-running jingle featuring the classic lyrics, "Meow meow meow meow, meow meow meow ..."

Titling the blistering cut "Meow Mix Jingle of Sorrow," the company even included some pretty righteous art featuring a quartet of furry friends in stark, high-contrast yellowish orange and blackest black with bright white eyes leering dangerously into the viewer's soul (they really knows cats), as well as a band logo done in almost-unreadable black-metal font to lend true kvlt cred to the pawsitively evil act. Hear the 30-second jingle above, and check out the brand's other new, if very non-metal, remixes done in a dancey pop style and Latin-tinged style. There's even a heartstring-tugging country ballad version, for all you lonesome cowboys (and Sólstafir fans) out there.
